Meet Our Team
Donna M Lavigne, Owner
Donna M Lavigne started her agency in 1983 with an empty file folder and a
smile! She has been growing an insurance agency ever since
Educated in Dutchess County, Donna came to Schoharie as a newlywed. Her background was in accounting & bookkeeping but she was always a “people” person. Sales was inevitable.
Donna started her insurance career as an assistant in the local State Farm office. She found that this was what she wanted to do forever! Donna was licensed in 1982 and began the Lavigne Agency in 1983. Slowly, as her children’s needs changed, she was able to grow the agency, hired folks, got them licensed, and grew more! Donna has the Certified Professional Insurance Agent designation.
Donna’s philosophy about insurance is very simple: Educating clients is the most important thing we do. Once a client understands what he needs and why, it’s easy. Donna cares about her clients and will go to great lengths to help them achieve their goals.
Megan Askew, Office Manager
Megan provides administrative support to the Donna M Lavigne Agency Team. She is a Schoharie County native and has worked in the office for the past 5 years. Megan studied business in college and has received her Certified Professional Insurance Agent designation. She developed a strong sense of devotion for the insurance sector at only 21 years of age. Her experiences have given her a deep appreciation for how the insurance industry seeks to improve client relationships in our region; one program at a time.
Casey McFee, Personal Risk Manager
Casey M McFee was born and raised in Duanesburg NY and now resides in Central Bridge with her husband James and two amazing step children Kaylee and Caiden. She attended Duanesburgh Jr/Sr High School and SUNY Cobleskill college. Casey became a licensed property and casualty insurance agent in September of 2014 after beginning her career at the Donna M Lavigne Agency in January of 2014.
When Casey is not helping people gain further knowledge of their insurance policies or making sure they have the protection they need in place for what they have worked so hard to achieve, she and her family spend time on their boat on Sacandaga Lake, riding ATVs on the Tug Hill Plateau, or are snowmobiling in the cold winter months.
